Mine isn't that bad to be fair. Just flares up now and again. But if anyone suffers and struggling to sleep I've found playing rain sounds on spotify helps a hell of a lot

Cheers. I’ve tried it, I can’t hear my rinitis over the voices in my head.

But seriously, mine is always there, very low but flares like you’ve said. I get the ‘pulsing also regularly with it, which is when I must get out of bed and distract myself with anything.

A tinnitus masker helps however you need to be reffered by your GP to see the ENT specialist at the hispital first.

Mine is permanent on the left side, occasionally both but unless I am in total silence I don't notice it. After heavy exertion it rages a bit.

..

I have tinnitus. At first it was overwhelming and I couldn’t escape it or block it out. I have learnt to manage it. I don’t generally notice it these days to be fair although sometimes it is more obvious than others.

I've suffered with It since having chemopheraphy, I really struggled with it at first. I have forgotten what silence is, and there are certain sound tone I cannot hear! I find that having the radio on or a cd playing helps me foucus on that and distracts me from this constant hissing in my head!

Central

I prefer not to have extra sounds around me and also noise cancelling headphones make mine worse. Calm and quiet naturally works best for me
