Attitudes still in the dark ages?

I’m bored at work and decide to put a status on saying I’m bored and would anyone like to chat. You will not believe the amount of guys that have messaged assuming I’m at home. Things like at least you’re not bored in work.

Why in this day and ages do men still automatically assume a woman doesn’t work and she’ll be sat at home?!

In fairness as your status implies you're available to meet if chat goes well I'd read it that you're free today.

Can't say I've ever noticed that sort of assumption, although guys do seem to assume if I'm on here messaging I'm sat in lingerie, made up and ready to meet in am instant.

My profile states I don’t meet straight away and when I’m next available. If I’m going to message someone I always read their profile first it’s only polite, then people would know what I’m looking for. Unfortunately, fab give a limited number of characters so it’s not possible to go into full detail, the status needed editing to fit

My nan used to say only boring people get bored, otherwise they'd find something interesting to do. When I see a status that says it I always think they'd only be talking to me as they've got nothing better to do, not very enticing.
