I’ve met a few people who tell you their real age when you are in bed or they just don’t look like what they state on their profiles.. has this happened to you? |

"Yes.
I don’t see the point?
I’m hoping they will come on this honest forum and tell us "
I’ve seen people do it to get around age filters. But if you can’t be honest about a simple thing like that, what else are you hiding? |

People always think I look good for my age and better in person, so yes. I am happy and flattered with that. |

Shock horror. Someone on fabs has lied about something!
Imagine turning up to a meet and seeing wedding photos around the place, when they’re single? Sure. |

It’s happened to me before.
Thankfully we only met for a drink and he confessed.
I explained I wasn’t interested anymore since he felt the need to deceive me, he apologised and tried to convince me to meet again but it was a straight no.
I don’t like liars, especially those who lie about something so small as age, it just makes me think if they can lie about something as small as that they can lie about anything and aren’t to be trusted. |

I met a lady once who upon meeting in the pub told me she’d lied about her age, I accepted it only to later find out she’d lied about a lot more.

Nope, rocking my age and having a great time. I am fit, flexible and fun. My age is an added bonus and desirable to a lot of guys on here. Buyer's market for me and I am having a great time. |

A well known forumite had their age at 40 ever since I joined. She would just change a capital in her user name and keep on.
It was pointed out and she’s now 41 for the next couple of years or so. |

I can see that the age filters might encourage this when someone reaches a typical age threshold.
My age is what it is but it can be frustrating not to be able to message someone for the sake of a one year difference! |

I'm actually only 28 but I had a REALLY hard paper round.
I just of course, my age is correct and my birthday set on here is my actual birthday. Why? Well, because there's no point lying
A woman I met on here lied about her age and tripped herself over really badly. I don't think she even realised what she'd said but I picked up on it instantly. If she's lied about that, was else has she/is she/Will she lie about? No ta. |

Can you change your age on here? I know a guy who’s been 51 on here for at least 4 years. The fact that he’s in his late 50’s or early 60’s just adds to the comedy. He definitely looks his age - no need to lie about it though. I quite like older gentlemen but if they lie about something small like this, there’s bound to be more lies |

Exactly.
This is why I won’t tolerate it at all.
It starts off as one year with “I put the wrong year in” you know that old excuse, then you get someone messaging you who’s actually 12 years older than their profile states and they look it.
Someone who lies about their age in my opinion is not comfortable with themselves. I think it’s wrong to do it to bypass age filters, you are deceiving people, people should be entitled to have any preference they like without people lying to get into it.
I had one guy who was actually 25 change his age on here to fit in my filters then send me a doctored photo of his passport when I said he doesn’t look 37 one bit, the fake number he edited stood out a mile off, but he was adamant he was 37.
He didn’t hide his full name so I did a quick birth record search online to catch him out which showed his real DOB and he was like “fair enough just wanted to meet”.
It baffles me that someone would go through all that effort to lie & it goes to show they no doubt lie about far worse things too. |

Two women I have met for socials, turned out to be 'misleading' about their ages. This is when I discovered that 'old' pics can appear to be much newer in here, as you can upload more than once, and the date on the pic, is the date the pic was uploaded, if you see what I mean? |

Something admin and the owner should change. After all they make millions from our subs.
I would like photos to be a year old or two year max. I've seen some guys who are 7 years old. |

Does he make a new profile every time then? I thought you could only change it once if you made a mistake the first time, although I find it hard to believe that someone can fail to notice such a glaring error before pressing submit |

I think you get one chance to change it and keep the same profile.
Then people do what was mentioned earlier, they tweak their username each time to keep rolling back the years.

I've wondered if the free version of the site doesn't accelerate the age automatically?
We've seen some photos on here where folk look a good ten years older than us but say they are younger than us. Apart from genetics and self-care, there is the sense of a person's experience being carved on their face - if they've had a lot of bereavement or illness say. We try not to judge until we've at least chatted and maybe been privileged with their narrative, but it is extremely hard not to judge,as our societal norms are visually constructed in many ways. Wonder how we'd choose meets if we only heard each other rather than see? Sorry!! - That's for another thread maybe.

There are several reasons why people might want to alter their age on here, including avoiding recognition, getting into their 'target age range' for prospective meets. It is a fact that once you hit markers like 35,40,50 etc that even if you are in great shape you will be out of the range of those in your preferences.
I know there are many on the forums who play as singletons but will admit to being married privately. So which is worse? Does it matter if you like someone enough to have sex with them?
As long as any reality is admitted before meeting it is up to the moral compass of the person meeting them to carry on. However the person telling the lie cannot complain if/when found out and is cancelled on. |

My friend did that, but I don't see any need to make it much more than a year off. Plus my photos, I mean my friend's photos, are all from the last few weeks.
I've seen people that I like on here that I've been both too old and too young for, so in that respect, no there isn't much point. |

I seem to have had more success since I turned 50, and I could meet many more than I do (cept I am very picky) so not lying about my age hasn't done me too much harm.
I was absolutely dreading turning 50, but so far, apart from a few shitty real life things, it's been nothing but good |

"I've had a couple of 98 year olds message me. That's them fooked now (or not) as they cannot change it back!!
Did they have good bodies/cocks? "
Not bad but then they were at least half that age! |

Indeed it is. I bet they wished they hadn't done it when they tried to change it back and found they couldn't! |

"I’ve met a few people who tell you their real age when you are in bed or they just don’t look like what they state on their profiles.. has this happened to you? "
About 4 years ago, I was invited for a social with a woman who purported to be 51 at the time. Her pics looked great, so I was happy to meet up. When she answered the door to me, I genuinely almost asked if her daughter was in Quickest cup of coffee I ever drank |

"There are several reasons why people might want to alter their age on here, including avoiding recognition, getting into their 'target age range' for prospective meets.
However the person telling the lie cannot complain if/when found out and is cancelled on."
I’m not too sure the two are comparative, however I get the point you’re making about lying.
Age to me isn’t just a number as so many brush it off to be, if anyone should be doing that it’s me now I’ve hit the big 50.
The whole thing about reaching those so called age markers are people have them in place because that is their preferences. I’m talking pretending your older as well as more usual knocking a few years off to come in the upper age marker.
Like I said one of two years either way isnt an issue, start doing 5 years and you’re half a decade out..! |

"There are some lasses on my local updates feed that are either lying about their age to the tune of 10 to 15 years, or if they’re not then they’ve had an incredibly stressful life! Honestly, love, if you’re 40 I’m a Dutchman!
Hoewel ze misschien 40 zijn?"
I'm the opposite, I actually am 41, but look a good 10 to 15 years younger. |

Met a guy once who had either knocked 10 years off or had a very hard paper round, and on the other hand have been messaged by a guy who admits to having added 10 yrs so he falls within the age range of more people. I don't see the point, you get found out and as others have said if you start with a lie what else is untrue? |

I’ve experienced this quite a few times. Most noticibly 3 men who knocked 10 years off their age. One of them actually really believe he looked that much younger (he really didn’t)
Several have admitted knocking a few years off

I would say they are comparable as many people state they don't meet married or attached people mainly due to not wanting the moral dilemma of possibly breaking up a relationship. Both are lying to improve your chances of having sex with someone. |

Yeah, fair enough point.
You might as well chuck into the mix lying about height, body type & filtered-the-fuck-up photos ~ all done in order to improve chances. |

Yes, age down as 38. Actually 42. I kind of guessed anyway as I thought 'there is no way this guy is younger than me' when I met him. I guess it's to get around age filters or to not be recognised? |

Yup mine's a few out along with a few other relevant profile details like location etc to protect my identity and privacy. No other reason...and I tell someone if I make contact. |

"Can you change your age on here? I know a guy who’s been 51 on here for at least 4 years. The fact that he’s in his late 50’s or early 60’s just adds to the comedy. He definitely looks his age - no need to lie about it though. I quite like older gentlemen but if they lie about something small like this, there’s bound to be more lies
I think you get one chance to change it and keep the same profile.
Then people do what was mentioned earlier, they tweak their username each time to keep rolling back the years.

Changed a few details a little on this profile to avoid a stalker from last one. Hence not real age. "
I can't lie about it as it's part of a largish tattoo covering my right upper arm. I didn't think that through properly did I ? |

Are you saying that you are older than 42? Has anyone objected to this when they met you? |
