Unfortunately I've seen several threads addressing admins and mods today expecting things to be dealt with instantly. Why can't people learn to be patient? They aren't available 24/7 and have real lives like everyone else on here. They do their best in their free time to help with the site, so let's give them a break. |

On the face of it, it might appear that some mods are better than others! E.g. some might act quickly and dish out appropriate actions (eg forum bans) pronto, whereas other mods on other parts of the site (eg validating fake profile pics as a totally random example) might be a lot slower or let things slip by until corrected, possibly by other mods! (Hooray for the good mods!)
But we must have an appreciation and understanding that they’re all doing an often thankless task on an (I assume!) entirely voluntary basis and that it must take a lot of time to investigate every complaint!

I would think it could be for the mods who are all volunteers and do a good job...but if we are talking admin. I would not mind all the supporters pass money coming in on a daily basis...I think that would justify me working my ass off  |

You aren't paying for a service. This is a free site which some people pay £5 towards the support of, and they get a few extra features as a thank you.
I don't get paid. I volunteer my time freely to help others enjoy their use of this site.

Definitely not, just an observation about entitled and impatient people on here expecting admin and mods to be available 24/7.
