I think too many people see stuff on YouTube and just because its on there and whoever is delivering it has letters after their name, they believe it must be true...
But some people are very gullible |

I think way too many people live through social media rather than going out and actually enjoying real life.
Pisses me off when I'm out and everyone is on their phones, updating statuses, recording what they see rather than watch it, taking photos.

"How much do you blame social media for people becoming fucked up. By fucked up i mean there lack of perseption of reality and sense of entitlement"
To a certain degree, I think it’s a very easy thing to point to though. The immediacy of many things and perception of easy success with minimal effort isn’t just pedalled by social media. |

Numerous studies have been done about social media.
Generally people attribute social media to self worth.
Many people need to feel special. Likes were a measurement, the more you got the more, the feelings of self worth increased.
The less you got increased anxiety and depression.
Another study of facebook showed that people felt inferior to supposed successes of their friends.
There is an episode in Black Mirror you should see, starring bryce dallas howard, a brilliant dark dystopian view of social media, another one, the circle which has emma watson.
If you are asking me, social media now is a cesspool of everything wrong with society.
Where opinions and soundbites, are treated as fact. Where the truth is flexible.
Call me cynical, but the change is coming, the social media detox is coming.

I blame all of it. But you only see their online image, and that’s what their judged on, if you don’t know them person.
You can’t blame social media, you can only blame the person. |

My simple terms that piss me off is it is like a fucking obstacle course out there! Get your face out of your phone and watch where the fuck you are walking! It not my job to keep you safe, but it is your job not to walk into me, also please fucking walk faster than 1mph, some people actually have a time and a place to get to |

Absolutely. I think people have forgotten how to appreciate being in the moment. Such a waste. |

Nah don’t say that, I think a serious change is happening, A lot of people are realising that Social Media is becoming a toxic brand. The change is happening slowly.
More and more people are leaving social media, they are waking up to the realisation is that its not the solution but the problem now. |

it seems the younger generation just hop from one platform to another so the number using social media seem pretty stable rather than reducing |

"It’s just the CB radio of the 21st century.
"
Not many people had cb radios really and they didn’t cart them around everywhere they went telling everyone exactly where they are or what they’re doing.
We took our daughter to the circus and she spent the entire show looking at her phone to see where everyone else was and what they were doing instead of enjoying herself! |
