I went into boots earlier to buy more hair dye (there’s an absolute shocker) and pick up my husband’s prescription. A woman behind the counter walked by and told me ‘wow, I really love your hair!’

Cheered me up so much and put a massive grin on my face. It’s little things like that that can really improve your day.

What little thing has improved your day?

I read that as "shaved".

I've been laying on the settee this afternoon and dozed off.

Woke up to two cats snuggled up on my chest, purring and snoring. Them, not me.......

Random acts of kindness

I recently gave one of the staff in my local cafe a small cup, the same as the one I've been taking in order to get my discount. Every time she sees it she says she likes it. £3 out my pocket made someone very happy.

It's a nice feeling.

There’s a woman who always comes in my work and she always looks immaculate and wears lovely clothes, I told her the other day how nice she looked and her dress was nice.

My kids came back from holiday with their Dad and I got my first hugs in over 2 weeks, it’s been heavenly.

I did pre-warn my teen by text yesterday “PREPARE FOR A GOOD SQUISHING!”

My brother and two nieces were visiting recently. When they were leaving (which is usually a drawn out affair as we take ages hugging, waving and calling out to each other), my older niece shouted out the car window "we love your laugh!"

I love moments like that.

I got on a bus this afternoon, near my house to go to city centre.

Walking on the ground floor, looking for a seat, and this chap's face rings a bell.

I set behind him and we get chatting.

Well, he was about six stops further on.

He offered to go to the supermarket and get me a bottle of red wine at his stop.

He wanted me to go to back to his.

Well, I was charmed.

I was setting out to drink a bottle of wine, and did not expect to be sidetracked on the bus.

Lovely, he was.

Still can't place his face, though.
