"The Scottish are ready. Anyone else? I’m not sure.
Weve had a scottish one,he was the best bond "
I meant the Scottish are ready for a ginger Bond
But yes, he was the best one! |

"If people aren’t ready for a black one, sure as hell ain’t ready for a ginger one..."
They were ready for a black one, 15 years ago when Idris was young, Idris himself, took himself out of the running years ago. He got too old and a lot of people started saying he would be the "black" bond which he disliked at the time.
But that does not mean there was not a time when most bond fans and he himself were ready for a black bond.
But right now, he simply is not the best contender. |

"The Scottish are ready. Anyone else? I’m not sure.
You've already had one."
Again, I meant that the Scottish are ready for a ginger Bond. As we have lots of gingers up in Scotland. However, even if we’ve ‘already had one’ why couldn’t the next Bond be Scottish? If the man fits the part and can do a good and believable posh English accent, why not? Lol |

I’m all for diversity but a ginger James Bond is a step too far.. we need to have a brown & a Chinese James Bond before we can start thinking about a Ginger James Bond |

They would find it a strange statement if you told them there was a lack of top quality films with lead chinese actors |

"Ginger Bond, still a long way off, according to experts.
You'll always have 'shaun of the dead' though "
I don’t class Simon Pegg as ginger, more strawberry blonde. |

Is there snobbery within the ginger community about being the right kind of ginger? |

I've got a ginger friend who insists he's "arizona sunset". |

It’s not about hair colour, or skin colour for that matter. Bond is an Officer in the RN, whoever plays him has to portray the archetypal Officer.
Idris is great, love his work, but, as has been said, he’s to ‘street’ for the role. |

I believe the ginger gene originated in Ireland.
Our attempt at a James Bond was a but pants. I still think the first Daniel Craig bond was the best. |
