Love coffee but don't drink cola or fizzy as a rule, they don't quench my thirst

No. I mostly drink water but have a couple of coffees a day. I don’t drink the fizzy stuff that often really.

Considering how much I drink of it - 6 to 8 mugs of very strong coffee By midday - I surprise people by not being dependent at all. I often won't have any on holiday, particularly in the US where they drink dishwater!

No. I have one coffee a day in the morning during the week which is more about a walk down to the canteen. I don’t drink etc except on rare occasions and don’t have any coffee at weekends.

Probably. I only drink decaffeinated coffee or tea and water but even decaffeinated drinks have a small amount of caffeine in them.

Same here - love my coffee but will happily do without one if it's not nice

If it got to 2pm and I hadn't had an energy drink and left my wallet at home, I'd rummage through bins to get the left over drips from discarded cans.

Not anymore. I was completely hooked on my daily routine of getting up and firing up the coffee machine as I fed the animals. The last couple of months have seen that change drastically for me and I went cold turkey and happily without any adverse caffiene deprivation symptoms too. The odd one or two a week happens now.

I usually drink at least 4 cups of good coffee per day, yet on holiday I didn’t have one cup for ten days either,

My sister only has decaf tea or coffee in her house! I’d rather drink water when at hers

Or wine

Nope! Never have been.

I don’t drink coffee, the only hot drinks I have is green tea or honey & ginger!

I rarely drink fizzy drinks these days aswell unless it’s sparkling flavoured water, if I get the urge I’ll have Ginger Beer or Fanta!

I was hoping I might be. At the moment I drink about 15 cups of tea/coffee a day. And could fall asleep 20 mins after a redbull.

So.. in the interests of science I drank nothing but water for over a week. Didn’t notice a thing.

Restarted caffeinated drinks hoping for that big hit. Nothing.

My conclusion, it’s a state of mind rather than a real thing.

I definately feel the difference but then i time my sleep, eating and caffeine intake to all produce a peak period at a set time.

You can get some very good decaf nowadays. I don't drink instant unless its an emergency but you can get some great decaf beans and pods
