I'm a massive GoT fan.
I wish George Martin would finish the next book.
Cant wait to see the final series on TV next year.
Hopefully Jon Snow and Queen Dan on their dragons will defeat the evil white walkers who broke through the wall at end of last season. |

Currently watching back to back from season one again got to season 3 in two days episode 4 its so good rewatching and picking up on things you missed first time round |

Picked up the first series for less than a tenner from HMV. What's to lose eh?
Watched the entire series same day, back to HMV the following day for series 2 3 and 4. Been hooked ever since.
I saw a theory the other day that suggested Tyrion was a Targarion and he'd be the one who ends up on the throne.
Interesting theory and how it was thought out.

I would be happy if Tyrion ended up sitting on the throne after all he has been through.
I also think he will be riding one of the dragons in the final battle with the Night king and his white walker army. |

George has said the ending will be "bitter sweet". Meaning it won't be a bad guy on the throne, but some good guys will be sacrificed to prevent that. |

They do stick rigidly to it, Martin only allowed the series to go ahead if they stuck directly to the source material, so much so that he quizzed the exec producers about their knowledge and love for the books before he even entertained the green light.
The series will be as the books will be too. |

D&D have not stuck rigidly to the books - otherwise how would you explain the Dorne fiasco?
Season 1 they did everything in the correct timeline. Then realised they had too much storyline for that to work. So Littlefinger got a teleporter |

Watched the entire series same day, back to HMV the following day for series 2 3 and 4. Been hooked ever since.
I saw a theory the other day that suggested Tyrion was a Targarion and he'd be the one who ends up on the throne.
Interesting theory and how it was thought out.

For series 1-4, George had a lot of input in the script writing so it was good. He then took a break to concentrate on the next book - Winds of Winter - which is roughly set on series 6. The directors, D&D introduced a lot of new stuff and dumped a lot of stuff from the books. Series 6 was not as good, but in 7 it improved again (I think George got back involved). |

George wrote one full episode for seasons 1-4 and had heavy input for the others. He handed the reins over to the directors from season 5 onwards and the quality of the writing plummeted. I think he had a lot of influence in season 7 which is why it improved again. |

Every moment of drama the portrayed either side doing better or worse was nullified by the fact that it would make zero difference to the end result. The only logical reason I can think that you'd want to do this would be to have a major good guy die. Which didn't happen so I think it was just cliche, lazy writing. |

It's idiotic writing and doesn't make any sense. Have you ever been a pro wrestling fan at all? Listening to how they construct a fued helped me learn a lot about logical story telling that will be most satisfying to the audience. |
