On a good day there are over 30,000 people logged onto fab. There must be several hundred regular forum users. That’s a pretty small percentage of the user base.
The vast majority of Fab users must rarely use the forums. |

I'd like fab to shove a few more in to the forum, perhaps automatically guiding them to it.
I think their inability to post, until having met certain criteria is an issue for many, as they probably look after joining, finding they can't post.
There are many happy to communicate as little as possible here, such as the FAF crowd. |

I’ve never understood the seven day thing. From day one you can spray cock pics around and send FAF messages to your hearts content but can’t hear for the forum and ask whether it is a good idea or not.
I know it isn’t a ridiculous amount of time but in an always on society, patience isn’t something people have as much of these days. |

And haha no. My friend who did the ‘fishing’ I had grown up with and was a few years older than me. I was so young and naive (pretty much as I am now) and it scarred me for life, hearing this over the speakers at a very busy fair |

When I have a lot going on, I rarely venture onto the site. Other times, and especially the last few months I've not felt that I can positively contribute and not been well in myself.
Now I'm feeling the love again, I have returned, so can understand this totally. I lurked a little. |

It's hardly the friendliest of places. If your face doesnt fit, you say something even slightly contraversial or aren't part of the clique (oh god I said the C word!) then it's sure to put you off. 30,000 members and maybe approx 1% actively using the forums is pretty poor. So how do you all plan on welcoming new people to the forum and making it more inclusive? It's boring listening to the same people over and over. New blood keeps things fresh. |

Good morning
I think it's good to read some alternate views and to be honest anything I either don't like, that offends me, or I have no interest in then I won't respond.
I don't consider myself part of a clique and like that fresh communication, you do find it from time to time. |

I get ignored all the bloody time! I think most of us do at least occasionally!
I only ‘mind’ if I’ve spent time penning what I think is an intelligent and salient point - only for it to be totally overlooked or - worse still - for someone to ignore the point and comment on my arse or something! |

A lot of people complain about perceived cliques and feeling left out on here. But to me that is not really true. If you are new to the Forums, you have to remember that you are joining a group of people who already know each other and will likely seek to chat and flirt with one another. That does not make them bad people nor mean they are a clique and don't want to chat to you or include you.
You say you find the same people talking boring! What are the already existing Forumites who already know each other supposed to do, take a vow of silence and not acknowledge or talk to each other if a new person enters a thread?
The Forums can be fun, you just have to accept people won't always acknowledge you every time you post. |

"It's hardly the friendliest of places.

You've hit the nail on the head. I've had some really good laughs on the forums and made some new friends through them. If I start a thread I like to engage with the people who join it.....though some people seems to take offence at that. If people don't like what I post, skip it as it's no skin off my nose |

I've been off and on the forums for years. It's great fun on the while. There are a few negatives when people can be disrespectful to others, bring their dramas into here, and show lack of respect to other forum users.
It can be hard for newbies but interaction is the key, but I have seen them ignored. It would be good if more Fab users got involved. I always try to include everyone and bring fun to the forums, and I've made some great friends along the way. |

The forums are the main thing that keeps me logging into this site. They are so much fun. Sometimes sexy, sometimes thought provoking, and sometimes just hilariously strange. Like a word box of chocolates, you never quite know what's coming next! |

"On a good day there are over 30,000 people logged onto fab. There must be several hundred regular forum users. That’s a pretty small percentage of the user base.
The vast majority of Fab users must rarely use the forums. "
Its quality not quantity all the time for me. |

"I think an awful lot just read the forums but are too scared to join in!..They may think they'll get shot down for saying something, or worse still ignored!
I get ignored all the bloody time! I think most of us do at least occasionally!
I only ‘mind’ if I’ve spent time penning what I think is an intelligent and salient point - only for it to be totally overlooked or - worse still - for someone to ignore the point and comment on my arse or something!
Who said that "
Me! Shut up or I’ll insult your suit! Men hate that! |

"Lots of people lurk on the forums. 95% of my friends dont even know they are here or if they do they dont post. Ive never actually mentioned the forums to them"
I was on here for 8 months before I even bothered to look. |

I’ve noticed that I get ignored or overlooked far more since I’ve hidden and gone all silhouettey.
A great deal of interaction is based on others recognising you and trusting what you’re saying. I think for any newbie there’s a bedding in period where others ‘sus them out’ |
