Before anyone starts.... Yes I will ask my Dr but its 6:30am and they aren't open yet plus I've got to go back for more tests in 3 months.
So then. Does anyone have low or borderline low b12? If so how do you manage it?
Might seem and odd question but could my levels have been affected as I was on when I had my tests done?
I've been on metformin for quite some time to manage diabetes and I know that can affect b12 levels so will be asking about my medication when I see the Dr. |

This is gonna sound weird, but what about Horlicks?
Honestly, next time you're at a supermarket, pick up some Horlicks and compare the label to multivitamins - it's absolutely packed with allsorts - more vitamins than bloody vitamin tablets! |

"I'd certainly be making an appointment at the GP for them to monitor. Can be managed through diet or you may need a course of B12 injections."
Got to wait 3 months to have the levels tested again to see if it wasn't just a one off reading so it is being monitored.
Just reading up on foods to eat and I eat most of them to be fair. Maybe need some more liver and kidney though. |

Liver and onions done slow in the slow cooker with a massive portion of broccoli. Delish! |

My friend has an issue where she cannot adsorb B12 so has to have regular injections. It was a nightmare to diagnose but I think this was down to her doctors. It can hit you hard with tiredness and affect sleep if it gets bad go private and they will sort it straight away.
Hammer the meat and dairy to boost those levels. Liver and kidney though bleugh! |
