To complement the "What film should I watch?" thread, please recommend some TV series that are worth watching - they don't have to be broadcast right now as I ...erm, have ways of getting hold of them.
I'll start the ball rolling with what is possible my favourite series of all time - Breaking Bad.
It's the story of a science teacher who learns he's got terminal cancer and, in order to be able to provide financially for his family after his death, starts cooking and selling crystal meth along with one of his ex-students.
That description really doesn't do it justice. It sounds stupid yet it's an absolutely brilliant series. Great storylines (honest... trust me!), brilliant acting - especially from Brian Cranston, really well produced and great camera work.
It was shown on 5 briefly, and also SciFi (I think) but they stopped after series 1 or 2. If you can acquire it... or someone asks you what you want for Xmas and they can get the DVDs shipped from America in time... then it's definitely worth watching. |

Has anyone been watching the Mentalist? It looks good from the trailers I've seen.
This is how imdb describes it:
"A well-known psychic becomes a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation to help solve crimes and to find "Red John," the madman who killed his wife and daughter." |

Defintely! Wonder if I have a blood thing going on? lol
And 24 (though it lost its way a bit in the middle, it got better again for season 6 or 7)
