What you’re the action of when you have to fart and you walk around letting it out in periodic bursts so no one notices, yeah sounds about right ?! |

"Watched it again last night as our son had never seen it.
Still think it’s one of if not the best film we’ve ever watched.
Class of its own
What’s your favourite?"
Agreed. One of the all time greats. |

Shawshank is a great film I have to agree. I also like The Green Mile, gets me at the end though when they know he is innocent but have to go through with it

There and to the left a bit |
Shawshank is definitely one of the best films ever - never tire of watching it, in fact must do so again soon.
Other films for me that fall into the "never tire of watching" category include:
The Green Mile
Gladiator
The Italian Job
The Great Escape
Goodfellas
Papillon (great call earlier poster )
Silence Of The Lambs
But if I had to pick just one - Shawshank would be my desert island DVD |

I loved it when I watched it at the pictures on its release, strange thing was it bombed out and the cinema was empty yet all these years later it seems like everybody's favourite film.
Sadly I haven't been able to sit through it since as the plot is integral to it's charm |

Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.....I read the original Stephen King short story over 20yrs ago, in rather an apt setting.....I can't describe the elation I felt when reading of Andys escape.... |

"Am i the Only one that thought it was overated, not a patch on the green mile.same director As Well "
It wasn’t rated to start with, no one went to see it. It was only through word of mouth, that it became a classic. It’s been a slowburner. |

That’s what hipsters say when something is popular, but if it was unknown they’d be singing its praises and hailing it a classic. |

It’s defintely in my top 1 film. I’m not sure if it’s the story, the directing, the acting or what, but it’s there.
Useless fact number 399372
Red was originally supposed to be a red headed Irish man in the script. Morgan Freeman came up with the line “maybe it’s becuase im irish” during filming. |

"Shawshank is my number 1 top film, love it. The Green Mile is up there too, Stephen King does know how to write a good story." He writes some great stories. Shame the majority are butchered for film and/or tv.

"Shawshank is definitely one of the best. True romance is another of mine. Also Heat and Usual suspects. Quite a fan of judgement night too, but maybe I'm showing my age here!!" Good choices. No one ever knows what I'm talking about when I mention Judgement Night.

I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone.
Watched it again last night |
