Some people can’t handle a no

So I had the male half of a couple message me this morning & I responded politely with a no thanks, well he didn’t seem to handle rejection very well as he accused me of being on benefits and being a single mum.

I didn’t realise that I’m not allowed to be fussy because I won’t sleep my way through fab. According to him it’s a “sex site” and I should practically give it away.

Sounds like a proper charmer.

One with a big chip on their shoulder about something.

He read the profile well clearly states you're in an open marriage ... How do you get single mum from that?

In that scenario I would either not reply or reply and block, as there’s a good chance of retaliation, as you’ve discovered.

On the sites FAQ’s - no reply = no thank you.

Don't get some people. No is better than no reply. I've been told no a few times, no need to act like child really. Well I'm sure you'll find better guys in here op.

I used to get a lot of abuse when I said no as a single fem. I once had a new profile message me telling me I’m a horrible mother and role model because I was on fab. I assume it was someone who knew I have kiddies (it was never on my profile) and I’d said no in the past.

My gf had this recently where a guy didn’t get the want for a social first. He expected her to drop everything and just head round for a fuck. She tried to explain that it’s not like that for either of us and he just starts getting shitty.

I think some guys sign up with expectations of an easy lay only to find out that you still need to be respectful and tactful as well. Imagine the horror at women wanting to have standards... whatever does the world come to??

The problem is there are little boys on this site trying to act like men....and vice versa. Just like little kids they hate being told no and throw their toys out the pram!!!

And even if she was a single mum is this now classed as being something to be embarrassed about? Since when has being a single mum something to insult someone about

I had a guy message me last week to say "I'm in Chichester tomorrow".

I couldn't resist being flippant and sent back to him "Along with hundreds of others - enjoy your visit".

I have never spoken to him before and he lived nearly 100 miles away from me.

He obviously didn't have a sense of humour because later he sent me an absolutely foul message telling me I was a complete time waster, spoiling it for everyone on Fab and that I should f***k off from the site as I wasn't wanted.

There are some real head cases on here.

Just delete and move on. When you have been here over a year, these sort of messages should just hit the bin and be ignored.

You should have told him to message back on Friday as it’s giro day so you’d be able to get a bottle of Lambrini and all 12 fathers were picking their kids up

I always thought that a polite no thank you means you’re not what I’m looking for or I’m not interested in meeting at the moment

All mums are technically on benefits unless you earn +80k. It's called Child Benefit

I've been here on and off for about 3 years and I have noticed far more rudeness over the last year. And the guy who messaged me had already blocked me so I couldn't retaliate

As I get child benefit as a single parent does that make me a woman trapped inside a mans body? Can I claim a benefit if I am? I’m confused now

Why would you want to waste energy on retaliation? Just delete/counter block and concentrate on the positive.
