Forget the nearest place, if you want the best battered chips in the Midlands you have to go to Majors Chip Shop in Bilston there is no better!
I don’t even eat chips often anymore but when I do that’s where I’ll go! My cousin who moved to London still comes down to visit and goes to Majors straight away, it’s that good! Hahaha. |

That's just blatant spudism "

Love battered chips me. . Not sure where round there would sell them though sorry. Best thing is change your postcode to the area chams is and then ask someone from the local update |

"That’s not a real thing surely. Is it?
It is and they're delicious.
Let’s get some when we go to the social Hatter. "
You'll have to come here to get some proper ones. |

Is there no end to the things we will do to foods that are already fairly disgusting and bad for us?!? We really are turning into America, slowly but surely Don't get me wrong, I like a good chip, sometimes even a bad one... And batter, on fish, maybe even chicken... Occasionally veg.. But chips? Is it not a step too far? Weirdly I just corrected fat as a typo for far lol |

The outrage makes me laugh. They are not like the batter that’s on fish. It’s a seasoning that coats the chips and makes them orange. I can’t stand them personally, but most chip shops in that area sell them. |

Some add paprika, it's like a really light batter so just makes the chips a little crunchy. When I lived and worked in that area we were on nights so someone went to the chip shop and brought them back. I had them a couple of times but found them too heavy |

Whoops the versions of battered chips I was talking about are.
As in chips coated in batter and deep fried!
They are really nice |
