I think everyone likes to think they are at least a bit kinky. So I thought it would probably be quite high.

Last time we had a rope demo at Gloucester social, there were plenty of keen volunteers, to try it.
Tends to be a lot more ladies than gents, wanting to be tied. |

If it's kink it has to be kink all the way including the sex.
Every one has their favourite skill and preferred style for rope. However to get on the UK & US peer rope scene as a single male you cannot go straight into full Japanese rope porn mode.
I am currently reading the "Year of The Bakushi" by Sin and this quote captures my preferred private style of rope.

Love being tied up, but if I tried to use rope on someone, it would be a disaster. I struggle to tie a double knot 
I look at pictures of how to, but when it comes to actually trying it, it makes no sense  |

YouTube has a lot of good videos (avoid the Knotty Boys) and there are good books out there. |
