The ‘I’m only joking’ section where people can post threads that are not to be taken seriously no matter what the subject is. Just to avoid all the people who have a different sense of humour to the OP of the thread getting offended. Go into that section, see the thread title and know it’s not serious so either enjoy the thread join in and have a joke or pass it by  |

The thing that makes forum discussion best are sites where responses are filtered (e.g. the best rated answered float to the front) instead of fab where you have the scroll through every answer first. Then shit posters wouldn't be do annoying. |

I think a system like this wouldn't work on these forums. The up/down votes wouldn't be based on merit but on competition. The average guy would simply downvote other men so he stands out more. They would upvote any woman in the hope it somehow helped them get laid.
A meritocracy is hard enough to make work in the first place but it would go right wonky when most of the voting is being done via the penis. |
