Especially on that first kiss
Eye contact. Oh wow, heart stopping. That moment before, when your eyes fix and lock and everything is still and silent. It's that moment when the rest of the world disappears.
It may only last for a second or two in that private first kiss where he leaps over the bed and pins you against the wall by your throat. But it's there. It's still there. Just for a second, before devouring you. So thankful that his hand is keeping you from buckling at the knees and there's something solid behind you, coiling a leg around him to keep you stable, checking out his body with your fingertips, your eyes not yet had the chance but who cares.
