Sell our house by means of raffle ticket let’s say £15 a ticket. We’ve heard of people who’ve done it, it’s not illegal & would save us lots of fees, buyers haggling etc.
Has anybody done it & what are the possible negatives apart from not selling enough tickets, guess we could put a disclaimer down somewhere.
I’m sure many would say we’d be mad to do it but can’t help thinking about the benefits.
Thanks in advance. |

We’d need to sell more than 10,000 tickets, but would people really want to come & view & pay for surveys etc on a house they could win for £15?
I’m not sure we would we might do a bit of research but think most would buy tickets with a view to selling the house on, so would just take a chance. |

People used to do this in the eighties when the housing market crashed and selling a house was extremely difficult. I didn't hear of anyone who did it successfully though.
You're still going to have solicitors fees though unless you can do the conveyancing yourself. |
