I often suggest folk do the searching ..with the rationale that you know better than any description a profile can give who it is you're looking for.

Do you proactively look..?

If you do.. do you get a positive response to your messages ?

If you don't look proactively and instigate contact why ?

Proactively look? Yeah, I guess so. I do tend to message first if I like the look of someone - I've only had positive responses off the back of it.

Currently it’s just me looking to meet on my own. Most meets, socials, conversations etc are instigated from my own searches because like you say, I know exactly what I’m looking for and more often the messages I do get are one liners or expecting me to be a prostitution or instant kink dispenser

Because I seek someone specific, I do search and mail first, usually to clarify something on their profile.
