"My wife does drink and loves it. She is on my case to try it at least once. I am bit scared to be honest regarding how I would react or do when d*unk.
Any tips or suggestions? "
Yeah, tank a whole bottle of vodka in one go. |

Depends what kind of d*unk you are
Happy/horny/aggressive/tearful
I suppose you’ll not know until you try but there’s no pressure to get d*unk... start with something you know you will like and mix it with because if u just try lager or whiskey straight off you’re gonna be put off for life |

Different drinks affect the body differently.
Takes a while to find the one that works best for you.
Then you have to work out your limit - the rubicon where you're merrily content or venture past the point of no return.
One thing I learned was never to mix the grape and the grain.
I settled on vodka and red and wine.
But never in the same glass and never on the same night.
One or t'other leaves me feeling fresh as a daisy the next day, but both together is a nightmare lol.
I avoid adding chemicals to any drink - mixers etc. So its fresh orange juice with the vodka rather than, say, cola.
And if you over-do it, drink as much water as you can before you pass out lolololol

"Why is she pressuring you to drink?
She’s not pressuring me just saying try it once you will love it. "
You said she was on your case about it.... That sounds like pressure to me. Why don't you drink at the moment? |

First started off due to religious reasons and after just didn’t. |

Drink is OK for socialising but keep it away from play - it has too many detrimental effects on performance.
I always avoid alcohol when meeting... Be on top form with your wits about you.

"I really need someone who I can trust and will join me for the first time.
I trust my wife but I don’t think I want her to be around for my first d*unken night. "

As Samiss says. You’re not missing anything, there’s no fun in getting d*unk. |

It's all very well to advise excercising self control but by the time you realise you've had enough, you're probably two or three drinks too late
Maybe the best advice for your first time drinking alcohol would be to sleep with the window open and a large bowl by the bed. Enjoy.

In my experience, going out on the lash with strangers seems like a lot of fun at the time but never, ever, ever ends well. |

OP if you don't really want to drink then don't - your wife should respect your decision.
A lot of people have an unhealthy attitude towards alcohol and consume it for the sole purpose of getting d*unk. The best way to enjoy alcohol is to just have a couple because it is a drink you enjoy the taste of and to not over do it. When you drink too much it makes you throw up and can give you an almighty hangover the next morning which is rather unpleasant.
If you are curious and just want to try it then have one or two just to see what it tastes like. If it doesn't feel right to you because of your faith then don't do it. Nobody has to drink if they don't want to. |

Obviously, you sound like you actually want to go out and have a drink... maybe even to excess.
Having a drink doesn't need to be a bad thing, it is generally just a mood enhancer... (happy people get happier and sad people get sadder).
What I would suggest though is to go out to a local pub with your wife and just try a few different drinks. Try half a pint each of larger, bitter, cider, maybe a small wine and a couple of different shots (whisky or vodka) mixed with something that you like such as or lemonade... limit yourself to no more than 6-8 units of alcohol and drink them slowly.
Afterwards, you will have an idea what it feels like to be under the influence, but not "hammered". You'll also have an idea of which drinks you like.

This post hits home since I remember the first time I drank alcohol. Being a Muslim myself, the religious conditioning we go through during our childhood can be debilitating during adulthood.
The best advice I've seen so far is from Cal.
Personally, I think you should try something like an alco-pop and see if you like that.... Baby steps |

Go crazy, get into a fight, throw up on your wife, get locked up for stealing a police woman's truncheon and generally be a total arse.
Your wife will soon want the old none drinking you back |

Alcohol usually only extenuates what your already feeling so if your feeling sad you will feel sadder, angry will make you angrier. It also removes the social restrictions we place on ourselves. |
