Who wants to be a salmon!

As a single guy, or bachelor as we used to be called, I do feel like the preverbial salmon, fighting my way up river, jumping ‘rapids’ and waterfalls in order to mate, except 70% of the other salmons are just sat slating the potential mates at the head of the river, so by the time I get there, the potential mates are like, ugh another one of ‘them’......

Depends how you want to view it really - if you choose to swim with the shoal then you're likely to not get noticed - make an attempt to stand out and not worry about all the other fish and whilst it won't guarantee anything it will improve your chances

Thanks for the ‘advice’ Gemini, but I wasn’t looking to improve my chances just a comment on how a large majority’s actions affect the few

I don't think they do at all - nobody on here "ruins" it for anyone - it is all about standing out from the crowd and being an individual that doesn't swim with the shoal and you can do that in many ways that all all within your control not that of others
