I have three books on the go at the moment, two factual ones, Vulcan Boys (about the Vulcan bomber), a rare copy of escape from Germany (I’ve not found one dated as early as mine ) and then finally a Clive Cussler book The rising Sea as my fiction choice. |

"HP Lovecraft. Necronomicon book "
Lovecraft is amazing I've got his complete works, really ought to finish it. Just finished Ready Player One which I loved, I was debating reading Horns again but may have to dip into Lovecraft again now |

Presumably with the Tenniel illustrations in all their glory. The Folio Society certainly know that the first bite is always with the eyes.
Talking of which, current choices are Vanity Fair (probably for about the 30th time, and each time it gets better), Elizabeth David French Provincial Cooking (for pleasure, not just for recipes), Thesiger's Desert Sands (for travel nostalgia), and Le Diable Au Corps, which is a whole lot feisier than I remember it from my A-levels 30+ years ago.
None of them a patch on the White Rabbit though ? |

I’m currently reading:
The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of A Window And Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe and
The Bootneck by Quentin Black
A friend of mine put me onto a great way of reading which is something new followed by an old favourite. Constantly finding new books but rediscovering old familiars is a nice pattern to get into |

I’m currently (still) reading “the upside of unrequited” by Becky Albertalli, it’s good but it’s not really grabbing me. I’ve recently had a long run of really good books though so I’m probably due one that doesn’t keep me turning the page.
Any recommendations for my next book? |

Currently got three on the go:
War and Peace- Been reading off and on for a few months.
Dubliners- James Joyce.
The Member of the Wedding. Carson McCullers.
Recently finished The Sport of Kings by CE Morgan which blew me away. Anybody who loves southern gothic fiction should pick up a copy. |

Last couple i’ve read and would recommend
Checking out by Nick Spalding a funny easy read.
Lock the Door by Jane Holland physiological thriller, I couldn’t put it down.
