Hey there,
This is not a rant. I have noticed a few fabbers have photos a few years old up on their profile. Has anyone arranged a meet on the basis of old intel and then was disappointed in the difference?

Yes it happened to me twice with guys in their 40's who'd obviously sent me old pics. I've changed my age range to 40 now because of this. |

I've had messages from people who have good but very old photos.
I always ask them to send an upto date one... Strangely, few do!
I've also noticed that several of those profiles, delete & then repost the same pics, but they obviously now are dated as new.
Call me suspicious, but..... |

To be fair I’ve got 4yr old pics on my profile but then again I’ve got pics I took yesterday too. I don’t think I look that much different.
As long as someone can provide you with something up to date but there’s never a guarantee just coz it was uploaded yesterday or today that it was taken then |

Yep, quite a few times. I’m a bit more careful now, always ask for recent pics - and warn that the meet will end if they don’t resemble the pics they send.
I always supply a current photo so it’s not too much to ask surely?

Thanks for the replies. Interesting points eg creating new profiles and re-adding the old pics to make them new.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for recent pics as you can’t tell the age of a photo on here only when it was uploaded. That will filter out the time wasters too.
Happy fabbing
