I am just stimulating debate by the way.

You find that a person you have met is playing behind their partners back. Their partner has found out and has confronted you about the situation, what would you do?

Are we talking about someone, in a vanilla or swinging relationship?

Did I even know about the relationship?

Which relationship? You are the partner or the partners.

Be more specific so people can understand the problem.

I'd be well fucked off that I'd been lied to and put in that position (assuming I thought they were single or had permission)

I wouldn't try to cover for them, having been cheated on in the past I would give over the info and details I had to give the poor soul who's life is being played around with the truth, so they could make an informed decision about their future.

Nowt worse than being made a fool of by someone who supposedly cares.

If you didn't know about their infidelity, you've done nothing wrong. Just tell them that this problem is between them and their partner, and not any of your business.
