Just go with the flow.
If I message someone new I delete the sent one. I had a reply 4 months after sending one which resulted in a meet.
People have lives outside FAB I sometimes take a couple of days to reply. |

You never really know what's going on in anyone's life, how important this place is to them, how many other messages they've got, etc, etc. Best not to stress about reply times |

I've actually just discovered I've been blocked by a bloke that seemed perfectly decent...I can only presume it was because he wasn't getting instant replies....well ..I do work,study, look after my child by myself and run a house....fancy not being glued to my phone 24/7

I'm guessing some guys do because I wrote a nice reply 3 or 4 days after I got the message only to press send and get the dreaded 'sorry you can't send mail to this user'. So I counter blocked the impatient git!! |

I've had that with a few people because I told that I was busy working they blocked me |

Depends who it is, if you've got to know someone and been chatting a while then it's noticeable when the replies change but for the most part we the guys count ourselves lucky we get any replies  |

I've had very unpleasant abuse more than once for not replying within literally 20 mins to messages I didn't even know I'd been sent. I'd much rather they blocked me if they feel that bloody strongly about it |

We often reply late as a couple I always ask A & show her the message as we work different shifts it can take a while, do agree with other poster if its close to a arranged meet needs to be sooner rather than later. |

Some women, especially the ones that post new pics almost daily, get a huge number of messages. I can be chatting to someone and then they post a new pic and my reply will get lost in the mix.
It can then take a while to get a response.
It would be good if messages from people on your friends list could be filtered or prioritised or flagged to distinguish them from the rest. |

Unless it's a clear no from us, in which case the reply is sent immediately, we take a while to reply. We want to make sure both of us read the message, both read profile and had a little discussion before replying. While this process is in progress we do get men messaging us again as soon as 2 minutes after one of us read the message asking where did they go wrong as we've not replied
That does help with our decision

On the other hand if it's clear from the message that our profile hasn't been read we adopt the attitude of "if you can't be bothered reading our profile we can't be bothered replying to your message". |

No I get that, just answering your point about not waiting for replies, you probably don't need to. My original point is as a bloke to not expect a reply and if you get one, be happy. |

But you can see they are or have been online and have read your message and have been active. I think for you guys its an easier way of the gals rejecting you and not having to bother saying No Thanks. Which is ok and that's how I tend to treat it so I block, not all but most. |

I don’t really wait for a reply on here, I just go about my day and check now and then when I’m not busy. I’m happy to pick up a conversation a week later if that’s when they finally reply! |

Answer when I read them.
My message count is at 18, and sometimes it goes down as I get new ones and I never know I even got a new one.
I try not to just keep refreshing the inbox as its not healthy. |

Your defo not the norm if you reply to all your messages as alas I don't get that. So what do you suggest leave the message open ? also what is the etiquette re deleting messages ? What I mean is if I sent a message didn't get a reply then find it deleted surely it means the ladies not interested or am I getting that wrong too ? |

I am different as I’m not meeting people but my profile isn’t up for comment. I’m polite and think all who message me deserves a reply even if it’s negative. I can’t speak for other women but I delete a message after I’ve replied to it unless it’s a friend or someone I’m chatting to. |

depends, sometimes i block if they open my message and they dont reply within 24hrs, especially when theyv been on line, obviously some people gets 100s of messages here and can't reply to them all,and why would they because they are not going to like every person who messages but surely if they read a message, like the picture then a few words dsnt take long.... |

I don't care if I get a reply.
However on a previous profile I had to block a stalker who got her arse out if I didn't reply within a certain amount of time, would make barbed cimments if I got verified etc.
Now I give no fucks at all. |
