Apologies - this is a sensitive subject but I don't feel like I can discuss it with anyone irl.
One of my work friends gave birth to a little girl yesterday, a few days early. I found out today, but today is the first anniversary of her ex boyfriend's current girlfriend's little boy's birth and death... I've messaged her to say congrats and also my condolences to her ex (I've known both for five years) but I feel guilty to her for not feeling happier because of what her ex is going through, but if I feel too sad for him I feel guilty for not being happier for her.
I'm not too sure what the point of this thread was, I just wanted to vent. |

Emotions are funny things. It’s not a bad thing to feel sad for your friends loss at the same time as celebrating your other friends happy event.
Either way I’d say to let both of your friends know how you’re feeling, then go from there. |
