You can renew your MOT up to 1 month before it’s due date so I’d put that date in your diary. |

Yes you can, but be aware the law has changed. Previously you could do this. If the car failed it wasn’t a problem. As you still had up to a month of MOT left. Now it’s changed. Should it fail, the existing MOT is void. Therefore you can only drive the car from the testing station, to back home.

You can check online  google MOT check or MOT history (web address will end .Gov etc.
It’s free.
You can also check your driving license status too. |

That's how I found out. Suddenly thought I'd had the car a while and not mot's it so checked online. |

A great tip:
I take mine to the council. They MOT their own vehicles. The law says they have to offer that service to the public.
They don't offer repairs. They have no interest in adding a few extras that needed doing. |
