Cats! I have 2.
I absolutely love dogs but I have a soft spot for cats as I’ve grown up with them. I am the cat whisperer, they always toddle over to me for a stroke! |

Traffic land |
I love both, but having a dog has never fit our lives, mostly due to me being out at work full time, I don’t think it’s fair to leave them alone all day.
I’ve always had cats, but don’t currently have one after having lost ours 10 days ago |

"Dogs because they don't kill baby animals for fun . "
Cats. Because you never read in the newspapers about what a good natured cat it was before she savaged poor little Molly to death do you? |

Me too!
I literally want to take them all home then I remember that it is someone else’s cat and I wouldn’t want to give them any heartbreak haha! |

"Dogs because they don't kill baby animals for fun . Yes they do, and you never hear of a cat mauling a child to death "
Perhaps because it would be quite difficult for a cat to do. If cats were dog sized then it’s entirety possible that they could. However this thread isn’t about the damage our four legged friends can do.
I’m a dog person, cats are dicks. |

‘Cats are dicks’ is not a nice comment. Also the ‘killing baby animals for fun’ is ridiculous. Cats kill because it’s in their nature end of, one cannot change nature. I’ve had both cats and dogs together but for personal reasons I never replaced the dog I lost. I’m now a crazy cat lady and have two whom I adore. I also judge people on their love of cats... |

Ocht, in the name of the wee man. It was sarcasm. Haven’t any of you ever called a friend a proper cockwomble etc? |

Hey I’m a passionate crazy cat lady apparently like her in The Simpson’s lol so my sense of humour doesn’t understand ‘cats are dicks’ |

"Cats - dogs can be bought, cats are authentic!! "
But cats only want loving when they want it!
You can truly see that dogs love you by the way they great you when you come home, their loving gaze and their cuddles!!! |

I love dogs but have never had one as an adult. I haven't always been able to offer them the time and commitment they'd deserve.
However, I've not spent a single day of my adult life, since I was 19, without at least one cat and sometimes up to five of them. And never a day without a black cat either! All of mine have been rescues and I currently have three of the little beasties. I'm afraid I'm the sort of mad cat lady who'll go running across a road to stroke random cats |

I have one each.
The cat is aloof, ignores me all day, apart from to yowl when she wants feeding, but sleeps on my pillow snuggled up into my neck every night.
The dog is an attention seeking diva, never leaves my side, the moment I sit down it's her God-given right to occupy my lap, this even includes when I'm on the loo! Sulks at night if the cat gets the pillow first.
But I couldn't choose between them. |

Cats are very independent but each have their own little character
Some are more friendly than others
Mine was very loving and so funny at times
Very rarely left my side and also waited on the drive at 5 when I came home from work every day
As much as I love dogs they need to much looking after
