While walking through Sunderland shopping centre with a male friend everything suddenly went quiet. I looked around and everyone had stopped talking and were just looking at me and my male friend. I was confused. And scared. It was like a scene from Body Snatchers.
I heard a man whispering to his girlfriend 'shouldn't he be talking to a girl? What bloke walks around with another bloke nowadays?'.
I then ran. Ran all the way home. I made a cup of coffee and looked out of the window at the rain outside and whispered quietly to myself....'why?....why?
