I’m sure they just make up random days for fun sometimes. Who decides when it’s ‘world day’ for what? Is there a central register that they need to be logged with?
Today is World hopping pig day! Says who!? 
Anyway, “World send £5 (each) to Dan Day” has a nice ring to it! Even with a global take up of around 1% I’d be happy with that!  |

There's probably a committee that get together for lunches and have a vote on which one is which day.
And does every Dan in the world get a fiver? I know quite a few  |

It's even less exciting than that. You just have to decide on your day, check to see if anyone else is doing it, and then promote it.
6th September is Fight Procrastination Day but I prefer National Procrastination Week in March. |
