I wash my hair every day.
First thing in the morning and if I have been particularly sweaty I wash it on a nighttime.
My sister in law washes hers twice a week whether it needs it or not. I used to fancy her until I found out. |

I wish I was one of those people who hardly ever washes it. My mum washes hers once a week max, and it’s so healthy and beautiful and I’m insanely jealous |

Every other day. My hair doesn’t take well to everyday.
If I’m going out and require big hair then that works better with slightly dirty hair so if I can get away with it I’ll not wash it for 2/3 days before a night out. I rock the shower cap. |

3/4 times a week. I was once told by a hairdresser not to wash it every day as it strips the hair of natural oils it needs to keep it healthy.
Could be total rubbish, who knows but it works for me.
Plus washing, drying and putting up long hair every day is a ball ache (possibly the main reason!) |

"Last time I did it myself outside a hairdresser was 2010.
Hairs in great condition. Alive and extremely healthy.
And no... it doesn’t smell or look greasy "
May I run my fingers through it to check? |

Twice a week unless I'm going out, then additionally on that day as well.
My hair colour fades too fast as it is without stripping it faster, and working in the sun all the time is killing the condition of it so I darent do anything that's going to make it worse |

How often do you wash yours? Can you try leaving it another day? |

I’m trying that at the moment. I’m every two days, but I’m tempted to try and go for every three. But don’t want to be a giant minging grease ball |

"I get really bad bed head, I have to wash it to bring it under control.
How do those who don't wash it every day cope? "
A good conditioner (Aussie works for me) and a great paddle hairbrush. I wear my hair down even for bed and I think the fact that it’s thick and heavy helps keep the pillow hairdresser at bay. |

"Don’t believe the hype, you don’t need shampoo."
I know - I used to work with someone who ever rarely washes her hair. I think four months was her record for not washing it |

I have a paddle hairbrush but don't use it for my hair....maybe that's where I'm going wrong! |

I plait my hair every night to go to sleep and I use dry shampoo in between washes |

Have you ever tried dry shampoo? I think there's a tip about using it the night before. |

Hmm, well I’m kinda lazy and never wash my own hair. I haven’t for about 15years.
I go to the hairdressers and have them do it every week, sometimes twice a week if I want it changing from straight to curls or vice versa. Or if I’m going out of course I’ll get it done then too. |

If I've straightened it I put it in a ponytail for bed, if I've curled it I plait it. I wash it once a week unless it gets rained on. |
