Newcastle and Gateshead

well 4 yrs is the maximum he could have gotten...

remember the charge was involuntary manslaughter... and not even the prosecution are saying that it was anything but an accident....

so for him to get the maximum with no previous convictions, and plenty of character witness's actually seems over the top...

he could have gotten probations, he could have gotten house arrest, he could have gotten 2,3,or 4 years.....

Like you didn't know! You'd have had to have been in a coma for the last year not to have known Jacko had been whacko'd and his dope of a doctor did the dastardly deed.

For some reason I've got an old 80's song in my head... the one that goes, "I've been getting away with it all my life - getting away with it".

It's bugging me that I can't remember who sang it though... gonna have to Google it, I think.

Cor, this is just like a pub quiz, innit

Lets face it - someone had to be held to account and this Doc has been the fall guy.

Whether he was guilty or not, it was a foregone conclusion that he was going to be found guilty and now they have been seen to throw the maximum term at him.

So justice has been done ....

Yeah, course it has ............

Let's face it, Jacko's Dr was incompetent at best and downright dangerous at worst so it's probably for the better that he'll never practise medicine again. Sounds like he needed more practice tbh.

It's a good guess... but it's not right. Say what you see. What's Mr Chips up to?

Oh, hang on... that was something completely different.

Why exactly do they call what doctors do 'practicing'...?

If he was only practicing, then it's normal he might fuck it up every now and again. Otherwise he wouldn't need to practice any more, would he?

Got it in one. Someone had to take the blame.

Can't help thinking "Eggs, Goose and Golden" though.

Trivia Point.

Electronic floor-filler "Getting Away With It" was in fact an ode to Johnny Marr's ex-writing partner Morrissey and his perceived miserableness.

Heard that on the radio last week. Whoda thunk it?

How about giving Dr Conrad 4 years of listening to Electronic's second album??
