As another who lives much of the year in Dubai, it never ceases to amaze me how people have no idea what it’s like; yet comment as experts cos they read the Daily Fail.

I saw on the news that a lady who had 1 drink on a plane going to Dubai has been arrested along with her 4 year old, what sense is that, why do they serve drink on the planes if they know its illegal. You wouldn't get me there if you paid me |

she was arrested for invalid visa and they said she has to return to the uk immediately , and then she argued with immigration officers(her husband returned), they asked if she consumed alcohol, then she said yes, but she wasnt in dubai airspace when drinking it as she said it was with her meal, it was her fault in the first place. |
