I just took a moment out by the cliffs overlooking the sea to quiet my mind and connect with the energy of the space around me and was immediately reacquainted with that beautiful spirit that infuses nature whenever you take a moment to reconnect with it. I've found it most glaringly present in the deserts and in the truly wild places.
Anyone else with me on this or am I just being a tin hat wearing nutter yet again?
What lovely or profound experiences have you had connecting with nature? What do you think that "thing" is you're connecting with? |

I saw about 3 bees on a plant in my garden, I'd recently read something about the bee population being worryingly low so I really appreciated seeing them and them being in our garden. |

The sound of heavy rain on canvas.
The earthy aroma of newly moistened soil.
The immense power of roaring waves toward an empty shore.
The taste of salt as sea water kisses your lips.
The razor like bite of an icy wind on my cheeks.
The unearthly silence of a snow covered landscape.
The beat of my own heart in my ears. |

I get you Soulful
Living my whole life in a seaside town I have a connection with the sea for sure! I ran a small business from a little shop on the seafront and for an hour every morning I would sit on the shoreline, whatever the weather, and just breathe, listen and play with the stones! I go there to escape, to work out problems, to blow away the cobwebs!
Oh and I have been known to talk to the trees on a few occasions too

I’m lucky to have always lived near the Sea and my current location has the Sea close by and plenty of Nature Reserves and a Forestry Park right on my doorstep.
Regular walks with my dog and my children in Summer and Winter blow the cobwebs away and reinvigor the soul. |

For the most part of my life when I see a view I'm always a but underwhelmed and when you see it that's it but was recently in Dubrovnik in Croatia and looking out over the city although was spectacular walking through the Old Town was nothing short of breath taking. Think we both walked about for 10 minutes and didn't utter a word to each other. Just walked around and took it in. First time in my life I've been in awe of something visual x |

I've just rescued a toad from being scooped up in a digger bucket. I put it somewhere safe and watched it for a while before he croaked his thanks and fucked off. It was a lovely moment! |

Years ago when I was back packing across western europe, I was just out of Barcelona, hiking. I was at the end of this path and I came to a lake, it was dead silent. Then across the lake i saw this beautiful woman, but she was crying. |

Was out walking the dogs yesterday and something made me stop, looked to my right and a young deer was stood still watching me..
Kept its gaze and took a picture with my phone but the sheer stillness of the moment was awesome.. |
