Agreed! If you're filtering with age range, no newbies, must have pics etc it will cut down on the mail you get and make it more likely to be from people you might be interested in. |

I was just just chatting with my special fab friend about my angst over how to reply to a solitary undesired message... you've made me realise my lovely fab was correct. I may have overthunked a bit on this |

I just checked and there's no "only" after the age range you're looking for - which means anyone outside that range can message you - that's one filter you missed 
It's honestly not worth panicking about or considering leaving for though - perhaps scan through them for any from people you chat to regularly respond to those then do a bulk delete and if you're worried about appearing rude (which you shouldn't be it's perfectly acceptable) put up a status saying "mailbox got full - bulk deleted" |
