When going abroad, do you sample the local food and drink, or our you a British bar, sausage and mash type of person.

If you go to Japan a lot of the menus are all in Japanese only, but there are pictures of all the meals.

I saw a really nice dish with a picture of a fish, so ordered that....

And got Squid!!!!!

I avoid the latter at home or abroad.

I love to learn about the culture so I’ll try the food, I’ll visit historical places, I’ll go to the non tourist places also.

I love exploring.

I was reading trip advisor comments, and surprised by some of the negative feedback left by holiday makers.

A fair moaning they can't get there favourite soaps on TV, the foreign food and too many foreigners, made me laugh.

I dive right in with the local goodies. Love to broaden my horizons.

If I’m away more than two weeks I might have a cheeky Dominoes though.

I like to get stuck into the locals.

I order whatever I can’t pronouce just for the painful but hilarious exchange with the waiting staff.

Brighton - even Hove!

Vegetarian here so similar food but fresher and better tasting. As local as I can manage.
