Verifications - are they fucking reviews? Should they be?

Reviews can be good or bad. Verifications are only shown if they're perceived to be good, therefore I choose not to class them as reviews.

most fundamental aspects

I prefer to give more about people’s personality and my overall enjoyment of their company. I may hint towards what we got up to but find overt sex act ratings (like best bj ever) subjective, overly specific and a little crass.

Also, people rarely leave negative veris, instead opting to omit/gloss over/fabricate certain things for fear of upsetting/looking bad etc. On review sites that tends not to be the case.

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I don't go into graphic or gory details as I find that tasteless and a lack of class. I prefer to focus on the person's personality, how good the ambient / chemistry was. I can hint on how good the actual sex was and the person's appetite for play

Well it’s a bit like a job reference if someone is not very good you just don’t bother, but if they were really bad you would have to leave a negative one, but they wouldn’t advertise it anyway so ye haha

Have to agree. I met a couple who left "me not too bad" after an overnight meet with very few breaks. They wanted to meet again but later blocked. I had explained it was an hour to get there and there was a heroic effort on my part. Another was "exactly what's said on the tin" or something, again after an overnight meet. Either my recollection is poor or people are too used to no sleep and mild exhaustion..

Yeah they are a bit cringe worthy.

Why not tell people how you enjoyed their company then simply have a tick box to say they aren't axe murderers and genuine!

I had one profile write me a really flattering profile then unfriend me...hey ho funny old FAB.

I'd prefer a tick box. I hate writing veris for other people. I only leave veris for people I like but I'm so crap at writing them it probably sounds like I wasn't happy.

Perhaps it was their sense of humour? As in you were the best ever but if they said that it might look cringe worthy.

Verifications are to prove that you are who you say you are and that you turned up. As far as I’m aware I can’t see a single other reason for them.

People are obsessed with reviewing things online, including me. I have left some (in my opinion) hilarious reviews of terrible hotels I’ve stayed in.

These, I hope, will actually be beneficial to other people. Review style verifications absolutely won’t be. Hopefully the users of this site will pride themselves on their individuality and their freedom to express themselves in ways of their choice.

I would imagine that, in contrast to a hotel or restaurant, this is the last situation you’d want to pick on the basis of enjoyment by others!

I only don’t post the ones that are overly sexual. I’m not that bothered about verifications now unless I think they say something special or different about me.

There and to the left a bit

In answer to the first not for me they're not and nor will they ever be - they're a verification I've met the person usually with a personal touch added as a memory of the time spent together.

Which I think provides an answer to the second question
