Do you ever get this sort of thing where you legs sort of ache and you have to move them?

I get it with my arms too at times.

I know some people get it in bed, just wondered is there a cure?

APART from moving said limbs lol

Yes... I get it when I'm tired ironically enough.

Have got it right now too (was up stupidly early this morning as I had to work)... it's in my knees of all places!

I get that - drives me absolutely nuts!

I can't describe the sensation - it's not quite and ache - not quite and itch .... although it's sort of like an itch you can't scratch.

drives me absolutely potty when I get it and can't sleep.

I find wanking takes my mind off it tho

Not sure there's a cure. I think it's natural and part of the normal feed back loop between your brain and the rest of your body. It's some kind of check to make sure the limb is there and working as expected I think?

I get this too . Sometimes its so bad it keeps me a awake . I've tried uping my intake of iron . That helped for a while . Most annoying cos its worse when i'm tired and it wakes me up ! Theses a great help group on face book . Called the mid night walkers . I find, what helps some times is walking on a cool surface or pressing you feet against the cool wall . Really hard .

yes lol in my arms and also my hands . ILS can run in families . Mention it to your gp . You may be told to : exercise more, stop smoking, dont drink alcohol or coffee . Etc but some docs are starting to recognise it is a real condition . Especially if it disturbs your sleep pattern . X

I spoke to my doctor about this some time ago and he said I wasn't drinking enough water i.e. caused by dehydration

By restless legs, do you mean that creeping feeling about half inch deep beneath the skin on your arms and legs?

I get it now and then for short periods when I'm relaxing.

I put it down to dodgy circulation and think I inherited that from my mother.

It only lasts a short while though, I'm glad to say.

I used to take Red Ivy Extract for tired legs and poor circulation, that seemed to help. R

"I spoke to my doctor about this some time ago and he said I wasn't drinking enough water i.e. caused by dehydration"

That's probably the cause of a few cases. I know I get awfully painful legs when I let myself get dehydrated and it always seems to get better after drinking lots of water.... only problem is, your leg problem is cured so you can get sleep but you need to keep getting up to use the loo

i get a lot of night cramps but they aren't like full on cramps, just feels like my legs ache

been told it has something to do with acids and is likely related to me being diabetic

just know it's a pain in the ass - many a night i end up gettin up and having a mooch round cos i can't get comfy.
