Polite small talk is really nice. Shows a little finesse. It’s not necessary to get smutty, we all know why we’re here, just ask when she’s available to meet for a drink after you’ve built a little rapport.

It varies from lady to lady, there's no hard and fast rule. I find usually friendly and lightly flirtatious is the best way, normally they respond in kind.
