Shaving off perfectly good eyebrows and drawing on eyebrows that make them look like Ming The Merciless on a bad day.

What things do the opposite sex do that make you, DA FUQ is that about ?!

Sit in an office all day then come home and say

"Oh my god, today has been exhausting, I am so tired and really need my feet rubbing"

Really? I've been bricklaying for the last 12 hours but yea, I bet them emails really took it out of you

When a man says he’s gonna do something, he’ll drag it out for as long as he can, till she’s just about to leave him , then smash the job out in half an hour.

Who shaves off eyebrows? It’s usually from overplucking in our younger years and now I’ve hardly got any left. They won’t grow back. Had to have semipermanent make up done to get them back a bit.

You can be in a room with a woman and she’ll have fuck all to say, but as soon as you leave all of a sudden she’s got something vitally important to say.

But she will say it so you can’t quite here it, so you’ve got to go back the room and then she’ll say ‘Oh, nothing !’

Just fab related...but I don’t understand why men I haven’t met and don’t even live in the same country as me get annoyed or jealous when I get a new verification

Also my husband insists on turning off the sky box every night, but doesn’t turn off his computer monitors. Stresses me out (although these past few days he has turned the monitors off because I moaned at him).

In fairness I have both a physical aspect to my job and days where I'm desk bound. Desk bound days leave me feeling crap and knackered!!

When you’re ordering a takeaway or making food, women say no they don’t want any. When yours is ready they eat half of it because they changed their mind...

If you’re going to use my material probably best not to use it on my thread, use it on a Hot or Not one, I don’t go on them !

No offence but it sounds like you don't really have a deep, abstract view of what comedy is or why it's important. There's a reason many Jewish comedians do jokes about the holocaust and it's not because they think it was a joke.

I don't think it's ever wrong to have confidence in your looks. It's never misplaced. I find the people who constantly seek reassurance about their looks far more difficult to understand.

Confidence is attractive.

And you make a good point. When I hear ladies put themselves down.. I do often question it too..

Truth be told, I think a person’s confidence should spring from who they are rather than what they look like.

Indeed it does. It seems that the suggestion is that people who don't meet a certain level of attraction shouldn't be confident in their looks. I find that really odd.

Is being confident in our looks a bad thing?

There is literally billion dollar industries because women aren't

Confidence is attractive.

And you make a good point. When I hear ladies put themselves down.. I do often question it too..

Truth be told, I think a person’s confidence should spring from who they are rather than what they look like.

Can’t choose your face...."

Exactly. I'm more attracted to confidence women then women with a full head of make up.

I'd be surprised if most guys didn't think the same way

If you’re going to use my material probably best not to use it on my thread, use it on a Hot or Not one, I don’t go on them !

I stole that from Bill Burr. Although i totally agree with it. The hardest job in the world, by definition, is not one most people could do.

*Googles Bill Burr*

You're kidding? You'd love him. He does a great set on domestic violence.

So he jokes about domestic violence? It’s not something I found funny when it happened to me funnily enough

No, he’s not an idiot he’s very informed, he doesn’t condone it.

He dares to make nuanced statements. It's reminds me of what life was like in the 90's, it's so edgy and retro.

I just find it a bit crass to make light of domestic violence. It’s not a joke

No offence but it sounds like you don't really have a deep, abstract view of what comedy is or why it's important. There's a reason many Jewish comedians do jokes about the holocaust and it's not because they think it was a joke.

I just don’t find it funny, that’s my opinion. Maybe because I’ve had first hand experience and it conditioned me to make feel it was my fault. That’s just my personal view.

There's no comedian that everyone will universally find funny, so the fact that you don't find him funny is fine. But saying that there are subjects you shouldn't do comedy on is what i disagree with you about.

It’s just a bit too close to the bone for me to find lighthearted. Maybe I should lighten up and not take it personal (as I was told by my ex many times) "

If you don't want to hear it then that's absolutely fine. I just don't think anyone can start listing subjects that other people aren't allowed to listen to in a comedy set.

It's because confidence comes with a perception of a sense of ego which some people think that people who are less attractive than themselves should have. If you look worse they're dreaming but are confident in themselves. If they look better but are confident they're an arsehole. You can't win in some people's minds. Reality is that the people who judge are usually not very self confident so put others down as a coping mechanism

What i find odd is being told by a profile that the guy is attractive /good looking/ handsome and then get disappointed by their photo.

Due to the fact the looks are subjective, i feel there is little point in a person stating their own opinion on their looks. I have informed guys that being told they are attractive leads to an expectation of that. I'd rather not be told and then pleasantly surprised.

I know my looks are attractive to some guys but not all, it's called reality.

this

I think everyone knows deep down if they are good looking or not. You know because of how people have reacted to you all your life.....and societal beauty standards for both sexes.

Overly modest when you’re attractive, I don’t buy it. Overly cocky when you aren’t, I don’t buy that either...

Just be honest, or better still.. let someone judge the attraction for themselves.

And maybe your looks aren’t your only u.s.p.

There are studies that prove, on average, men are far more accurate judges of their relative attractiveness than women.

It's a spectrum. I'm not saying that cracking holocaust jokes in the office is acceptable. I don't necessarily think people should automatically be fired for it but i totally get why it's not professional. But there does need to be a time and a place to question our assumptions and subverting conversational expectations is a great way to do that.

I kinda get what your saying, it’s just playing with my head a little the more I think about it. But I have listened and I’m trying to understand your POV. "

What I have in common with Bill Burr is that I'm optimistic about wanting to change the views of most ignorant people. I get that there are a hardcore you'll never change, but i think most people are reasonable but can fall into ignorant thought patterns. I'll make a huge assumption and tell you that I think more people confide really ignorant opinions in me, than you, because I'm a man and you're a woman. I hear real racist and real homophobic stuff on a weekly basis. Not "I don't agree with gay marriage" but actual "I think all gays should be executed". You never change those views by shutting down the conversation.

"Also my husband insists on turning off the sky box every night"

That's because ALL sky boxes are shit and unless you turn them off every night, they will need a complete re-boot every week or so. Not good when you sit down to F1 on a sunday afternoon and then miss the first 10 laps because you have had to do a hard re-boot

When they spend hours putting tons of make up on with a trowel, when they looked a lot better without it.

"

It's a spectrum. I'm not saying that cracking holocaust jokes in the office is acceptable. I don't necessarily think people should automatically be fired for it but i totally get why it's not professional. But there does need to be a time and a place to question our assumptions and subverting conversational expectations is a great way to do that.

"Sit in an office all day then come home and say

"Oh my god, today has been exhausting, I am so tired and really need my feet rubbing"

Really? I've been bricklaying for the last 12 hours but yea, I bet them emails really took it out of you

And then, wonder why they get paid less!"

That's is bloody sexist ! Paid less doing the same roles is unfair ! I don't get the feet rub thing maybe is your personal experience . Get home here from work means more work !

What you don't know doesn't hurt you........ Good philosophy that but you have to maintain it otherwise that's where the problem lies ha

Hiding in the shadows

When men assume I can't do something, as I'm a woman.

Then stand there, giving advice, telling me the best way to do it.

Either be a gentleman & offer to do it, or fuck off and let me do it the right way, my way
