Retracting verifications

Is it possible to retract a veri?

Scenario. Met a couple for social which led to us going to their home for fun. Played for a long time. Everyone had a good time.(we think) agreed on veris being exchanged. We gave them a great one. Waited for one back. Nothing.

No messages , nothing . Total snub. Not blocked but unfriended. Messages are deleted straight away.

Without blocking them is there a way to delete or retract the veri?

Not really..

Why won't you block them?

Are they displaying your verification? Just block them.

Not sure I understand the 'problem' It's not like you are after the first verification..

Perhaps the meet wasn't that good from their viewpoint .

I sometimes send a verification but don't always get one back..

Block them, forget about them and sail on....Who's next?

Why worry yourselves about it?

You enjoyed the meet so we don't see an issue here.

We don't give verifications just to receive one back and if people choose to ignore us after a meet then so be it. They must have their reasons.

Your profile name will also change on any veri you left.

If verifications help you then yeah etiquette surely requires a verification in return.

I can understand wanting to retract if you've written they're respectful and ignoring you after you've met isn't respectful from your view.

Not at all - I don't expect one in return and not even sure etiquette requires one. Veris are of course nice to get even if only as a reminder of time spent with someone but the only way they "help" you are to show you are who you say you are (and even then with veris actually being quite easy to take they're not 100% reliable) so it's only essentially your first veri that is "helpful" any others just reinforce that.

As others have said block and move on. There is enough on the veri's you have to say your the real deal.

I do know of people who get a Veri, and send one back only to delete the one sent to them. Seems to me they enjoy the adverts a Veri gives from players but don't want to return it once they've had their fun.

Some of these people are fab royalty and it's as if they are happy for them to be associated of playing with them, but don't want to share in that network by doing their bit.

Poor form if you ask me.

Under the Duvet

Bit annoying but not the end of the world.

Veries are a funny thing. I had someone balls deep in me asking what I was going to write on his verie!

It was amusing at first but then I realised he was serious.

Needless to say I've not got round to that one yet...

Ha! ‘chronically unable to keep his focus on the task at hand’. There ya go. Veri sorted

I wouldn’t ever expect one back. It’s a bit gutting when you don’t get one and they move on but it’s never been the end of the world for me.

Not at all. Leaving a verification is personal choice. Not everyone sees the point in them.

I preferred not to receive verifications after the first few. I decided I was better off if people didn’t know who I had met. Now it’s not relevant anyway.

Exactly this. We once seen a status from a couple who hosted a party night calling folk ignorant for not verifying them back. We were at the said club night, didn't really like said couple, so if we had nothing nice to say, say nothing. We think the status may have been directed at us. We don't give a verification to get one back, why would you. We are polite and if we enjoyed a couple we'd say, then it's their choice to display or verify back. No big deal
