There were better places than Wigan casino ,twisted wheel in manchester was iconic pity I was to young to enjoy it but the have a meet few times a year at egos in Manchester. Blackpool always been a huge northern soul place.

Oh I most certainly do! I used to go up to Stockport Town Hall with a lady friend (I lived in Suffolk). went to other gigs but that was mega ...

My all time favourite was the original version of 'Shake!' by Sam Cooke (who wrote it). A shade slower than Redding's version but better for it.
