What is your best driving song?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Ok...so you are on the Motorway; you hear THE SONG and it makes you check your offside mirror, blind-spot, drop down a gear, foot on the gas hard and pull out to overtake the car in front!
What song is it?
Mine is Radar Love by Golden Earring. |

In For The Kill - La Roux (Skrillex remix)
So much yes to both!!
(Also, Crazy by Aerosmith!? (: )"
Of course! Steve Tyler's voice and putting your foot down = perfection. |

I have so many favourite driving songs ranging from cool obvious ones to bizarre choices..
Two Tribes by Frankie goes to Hollywood is great.
A less obvious choice, try Telegraph Road by Dire Straits.. |

Thunderstruck or Back in Black AC/DC, throw in a little Whisky in the Jar by Metallica, mixed in with No One Knows from QOTSA, ramp it up with a bit of Black Parade or I’m Not Ok by MCR and it’s just about perfect |

Great choice with La Roux"
A new one for us, driving through the legendary "Island roads are different" Isle of Wight County lanes was ELO live at Wembley, great drive, great views and a great show. Followed by a great evening. |

I don't really have one as it depends on my mood.
However if I'm trying to set a time on a track it tends to be fat boy slim right here right now or Phil Collins in the air tonight. No idea why just help me to concentrate |

Ironic if you get caught by a speed trap |

Monkey wrench, foos
Bring me down and control, puddle of mud
Brixton briefcase, chase and status (In fact, anything off that same album)
Devil inside, inxs
Jesus of suburbia, green day
Boiler, limp bizkit
Sundown, labrinth
Rill rill, sleigh bells
Just a few that get me dropping a gear my right foot pressed down hard |

I’ve been quite liking Snakes by Bastille on the motorway. There’s a great spoken sample:
“Come on boys, lets go tear this place apaaart!”
that is perfect for putting the gas down to overtake with just slightly more abandon and swagger than strictly necessary. It can be tricky to time just right, but when you do it’s well worth it! |
