I can’t even remember what it’s like to be single, got with my husband when I was 14 but as soon as I hit high school I always had boyfriends. Haven’t been single in ten years  |

Combination of being too fussy to begin with and then being too full on when I do find a guy I like, end up pushing away them away. Been told by friends that the few guys I've wanted to have relationships with were mine to lose. |

Got hurt at 19 by a guy and basically built the wall that high even i cant get across it. And anyone that does try to get in usually gets shoved back very quickly hence single since 95. |

This is the longest I've ever been single. Other than some brief fucked up relationship type things on here I think it's over 6 years now. Before that I went from 1 serious relationship to another. I can't even remember how many but the point is I was getting damaged by it and I had been well an truly suckered by a select few. So I decided when I 1st become single this time no matter what I was staying single for at least a year. Well that year came and went but in that year I realised just how much I'd been hurt used conned stomped all over and generally treated like garbage in almost all them relationships. It was then I got busy building my walls and built them well I did. I'm now at the point nobody can get near me and it's no longer my choice. As sad and lonely it gets at times it's my life and let's face it it to short to not be happy.... |

Some people are just meant to be on their own, relationships are hard work and people these days can't waste time making the effort kinda like being here oooops said the wrong thing but I can move onto next person, for women obviously a much higher chance of that happening omg he eats meat block, no tatts block, cock pic avatar block, relationships are great when they work. |

I know it did for me.
I found someone a few years ago I thought was emotionally and physically unavailable, in order to protect myself. It turned out that this emotions were fully available and it unlocked mine. We couldn't change the distance issue and now we just see each for a drink when we're in the same part of the world.
I went back to seeing someone who is emotionally unavailable and it brought back those negative feelings about myself so I have cut myself off from him and his periodic advances. The more I am unavailable the more contact he tries to make. It's a game to him.
As the great Maya Angelou said, Never make someone a priority who only sees you as a choice.
