From Queen II onwards I used to buy all their albums on the day they were released. Hot Space was a bit of a letdown imho, but generally preferred their earlier stuff.

Liar, Black Queen, Ogre Battle, Lap Of The Gods. + Many many more.

I've never got the Elvis thing either, lol. He ruined several very good original songs by much better artists who never got the recognition they deserved.

I'm not having a go at Queen or FM, just stating my own opinion. No offence meant. Personally earlt Who or Stones knocks spots off Queen. But it's just an opinion. (but i'm right. wink.)

Got to agree with that, don't time fly?

As for the nice bloke thing, I heard on the radio a couple of weeks ago that he left his home (mansion) to his ex girlfriend and not his long term partner. Saying that had things been different, she would have got it anyway. So yes, a nice guy.

Fav track? Another one bites the dust.

I'm with you on that. 1st record I ever bought was Elvis "All shook up" and for my money he never made a decent record after that.

But what do I know? I'm a Quo fan ffs.

Thats true about the house, he left it to Mary Austin, his ex girlfriend and close friend until the end.

Am a huge Queen / FM fan and would be hard pressed to pick anyone song, but a few spring to mind for me, Black Queen/Nevermore from Queen II and Dragon attack from The Game

"I never have and never will understand the hype about Queen. No redeeming features at all for me.

At the beginning of Queen, there was no "hype" just great music! Then came Bohemian Rhapsody. That song needed no hype! It stood alone as Wishy said, as an amazing song.

The video was the first "proper" music video and showed the way to others and gave us the "MTV" type shows we have today.

Do I have a favourite? I can give you all a title now, but as soon as I look at the list I will change my mind! Most Queen tracks are good to great and in different moods, I have different favourites...

Thanks Freddie and the team...
