Im looking for a replacement car, last ones being an x reg clio, and a 54 reg micra.
Today I test drove a fabia, which made me feel queasy. Most likely the wallowy suspension
Are there other small cars with firmer suspension i can try thats not too expensive?

It might not be the suspension but the combination of seats and suspension. It might also be worth checking the tyres were inflated properly.
I found a Skoda Octavia was great but the seats in the equivalent VW were much better so I’m afraid you’ll have to see what works for you personally |

Thanks. Read a review (albeit too late) that mentioned the bouncy suspension. Same with suzuki swift apparently |

"Honda jazz.if you can get past the fact that people see them as OAP car's which is utterly ridiculous.
They are fantastic and extremely reliable and versatile."
The new 130bhp jazz will probably catch a few people off guard at the lights, they aren’t exactly slow
0-60 in 8.4 seconds is better than your average car |

I've stripped and rebuilt loads of engines over the years, so consider maself to be a competent mechanic, but I know fuck all about suspension systems on modern cars. Not much use to you I know, but you did ask for mechanics |
