Does anyone else find it a bit off putting when the background in people’s profile photos is really messy and untidy? Am I letting my OCD get in the way of what’s important?

Not as off-putting as seeing dirty fingernails...

Cleanliness is next to sexiness.

Totally. It helps form an opinion. If the house is a shit tip then how is their personal hygiene? Do I want to go and meet somewhere that I will be stepping over old carry out pots and bits of 1980s dot matrix printers?

I’m glad I’m not on my own. And I think the point about the connection between house hygiene and personal hygiene is a good one.

Definitely puts me off...if something detracts from what you are meant to be looking at then it’s not good.

If they are that lazy in not seeing what’s in the pic, what would they be like in bed!!

Yes definitely. I always think that if their environment is messy then their personal hygiene will probably be too.

It does make me chuckle "I'm going to upload a picture to show myself off, while I stand in the middle of a shit tip...", "I'm an adult but I can't be arsed and would rather live like a lazy teenager whose mummy runs around after them making the bed, picking up clothes, emptying the bin etc. because it's just too hard for me to have some pride in my home..."

It also makes me wonder, if someone lives in a mess, it's difficult to impossible to keep it clean, so how clean are they...?
