I’ve just built a Gin Bike out of a bobbin noodle

Put custom wood box infill in the frame fits glasses ice chopping board lemon knife corkscrew and a 70cl bottle of gin

Insulated basket on front for beer

Wood panel rack as a table that as another insulated bag for tonic and a huge blanket

How come?"

I just don't think I can do it and haven't been out for ages. Whenever I've tried longer rides I'm knackered and struggling at 30 miles. Going to focus on shifting some weight and making cycling part of my everyday life!

"Anyone into building bikes? I must have built at least 6 this year alone. "

Do you mean building the frames, or just adding components to a frame?

I worked as an apprentice frame builder a good few years ago, built quite a few bikes in my time.

I build up bikes on a regular basis, it saves a fortune and I know the work is done correctly.

deferring this year was a great move.

Terrible conditions to be out in for fun.

Not often i feel like bailing on an event half way.

Yes ive built a few bikes in my time. I tend to use 2nd hand bits, best way to get a decent custom bike for peanuts

Just finished transferring all the components over on to a second hand Storck frame I picked up a few weeks back, very happy with how it's all come together!

After a fair few weeks of dou g nothing have done 35 miles today!

But silly as I've signed up to do another 35 tomorrow at a local audax but will just see how I feel and take it steady.

I just get so thirsty when I ride. I've stopped at a pub literally down the road from where I live for 2 lager shandys and 2 s!

Only had to do it the one time so far, fingers crossed!!

Seems simpler than my last frame anyhow, which had the wheel right up against the shaped seattube..

I haven't ridden since Ride London but has mainly been due to doing some work on the house and lack of time. Hoping to go out and do 30 miles tomorrow.
