Scoop out the flesh, add a squeesze of lime, finely chopped garlic and chilli then mash it all up roughly with a fork. Eat it with the biggest bag of dorritis you can find. |

I love Mexican chunky guacamole. I also add coriander and chopped red onion. I had it in Mexico like that and was addicted. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Make sure they're soft enough, but not gone over. Slice and layer with crispy bacon on crusty bread.
I like them just with a pinch of salt as an easy lunch too.
How have you managed to avoid avocados for so long?

Or, my favourite tricolore salad. You only need tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and sliced avocado. A bit of salt, a bit of black pepper, extra virgin olive oil and a dash of balsamic vinegar.

Get a tortilla. Put cheese on it. Add sliced avocado. Heat oil in a pan. Put the tortilla in the pan for a minute. Take it out and put it on tin foil. Fold it in half then fold again. Wrap it up and pop in in the oven for 10 mins. That with sour cream and salad x |

With you there Guacamole is utterly addictive, I eat loads of it as a dip or as a side dish.
Just be careful getting the stone out (says the woman who stuck a 10 inch knife through her left palm and has the scar to prove it in a classic case of avocado hand) |

"Smash it up, mix with a bit of lemon juice and put it on toast. With bacon or smoked salmon and egg with a runny yolk. "
This sort of thing definitely! Really nice on sourdough toast, and really great with some fried halloumi.
Leon do smashes avo and halloumi muffins with a little slightly hot tomato sauce for breakfast and they’re delicious! |

I know people that have done that. I just gently squeeze it out. It’s going to be mashed anyway x |

I make my own guacamole. Scoop out the flesh and mash it with a fork to keep it chunky not blended, add in very finely chopped coriander, red onion, tomatoes and lime juice |

They need to be ripe! Most from English supermarkets are rock hard.
A ripe avo should give a bit when you squeeze it.
Rock hard avos are horrible.Give it time to ripen.
I frequently get strange looks fondling the avocados in my local tesco...

If you only use half, leave the stone in the other half & closely wrap with cling film.
Try growing avocado from the stone rather than binning it. Great instruction video on YouTube. It takes a while to start but then when the shoots start, it grows quickly. |
